Do you hold more than one wedding at a time?

No, at Ballara we only hold one wedding at a time so the venue is exclusively yours.
Can Ballara be hired for just the ceremony?

Yes, you can hire the Chapel or the Gardens for your ceremony and photos – price on application.
Can we hold a date whilst we decide?

Of course, at Ballara we can hold your preferred date for 7 working days to give you piece of mind of knowing your date can’t be booked by another couple whilst you make your decision.
How much parking is there?

There are 80 free car spots on-site
Is there accommodation nearby?

The Eltham Motor Inn is only 50 metres across the road. Plus The Eltham Gateway is only 500 metres down the road.
Is there disabled access?

Yes there is ramp into the chapel and up onto the verandah. We also have a disabled bathroom.
What if we need to change or cancel?

In the unfortunate circumstances that your wedding needs to be postponed or cancelled, we will work with you towards a solution. When booking we will go through all of the terms and conditions with you, or feel free to ask us for a copy prior to this.
Will there be a function manager to help on the day?

Of course!! Your function manager will be here to assist you in anyway during the day. They will coordinate every step so that you don’t have to worry about the time or what is coming up next. They will also work with your band/DJ, MC and other industry professionals to make the day seamless and perfect.
How many people can the ballroom seat?

At Ballara we can hold sit-down wedding receptions for 60-160 guests.
Confetti/Rice/Bubbles/Petals

Unfortunately confetti and rice is quite damaging to our gardens, ducks and native birds. A great alternative is bubbles or rose petals for your group photos.
**HINT: If wanting to add rose petals for walking down the aisle, we ask that you use silk petals rather than fresh so that it can’t stain the carpet (or more importantly – your DRESS!)
Can I get married at Ballara?

Of course you can – At Ballara you have the choice between our beautiful gardens or our authentic chapel
What kind of photos can I expect/do I need to go off-site to get good photos?

You most certainly do not need to go off-site to get all of the photos you dreamed off. At Ballara there are endless photo opportunities, from the waterfall, the gazebo overlooking the lake, stone chairs and arbours and more. And it doesn’t end there! At night the venue is lit up with flood lights and fairy lights so that you can continue to capture special moments into the evening. Have a look through our gallery for some examples. **HINT: staying on-site to do all of your photos can save you a lot of money (and TIME) as you won’t have to hire your cars for longer or incur multi-location photography charges
Do you charge cakeage?

No! We will cut and serve your wedding cake on platters to each guest table along with complimentary cake bags – that way people have the choice of eating cake along with their tea and coffee, or they can take it home if they are too full! Have a look at our Diamond Package which also includes your wedding cake in the price per person!
Do you cater for dietary requirements?

Of course – there aren’t many weddings these days without at least one!
We ask that you provide us with a list of dietary requirements 2 weeks prior to your wedding date so that the chef can create tailored meals to meet their needs.
**HINT: pop a line on your invitation RSVP asking guests to indicate any special dietary requirements.
